Green tea, chamomile and oatmeal can be used to treat inflammation by soothing the affected skin areas, aiding in heat release to allow faster skin healing and proper oxygen circulation of the skin. Itching sensations can be reduced by washing the skin area with oatmeal. Ginger, when consumed in any form (cooked or raw) helps counter redness of the skin and inflammation.
